The story

The Amundi Evian Showcase is the AJGA's December week in Las Vegas for high school seniors who have not committed to a college golf program. The AJGA's history of the senior showcase begins in 2012, and its notes say the events have historically been limited to seniors unsigned by a college program when accepted into the field. The showcase has carried the Amundi evian name since 2021, and in 2025 the AJGA added an Open Championship for ages 12-19 on the same days. The 2026 week has four events, each with 78 players over 36 holes of stroke play and a $295 fee: the Marie Birdie Senior Girls Championship at Las Vegas Golf Club, two senior boys' events on the Sun Mountain and Snow Mountain courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, and the AJGA Open Championship at TPC Las Vegas. The senior events run December 5-7 and the Open December 6-8, each opening with registration and a practice round. To play, a junior must be an AJGA playing member with accepted proof of age, then apply before the deadline: October 20, 2026 at 3 p.m. ET, with payment due by October 25 to confirm a place. Open applicants are prioritized by Performance Based Entry status. The 2025 champions were Madison Perez in the senior girls' event, Aiden Tiet and Jack Cook in the two senior boys' divisions, and JP Lynch and Samantha Daniels in the first AJGA Open Championship.

The venue

Four courses in 2026: Las Vegas Golf Club (4300 West Washington Avenue) for the Marie Birdie Senior Girls Championship, the Sun Mountain and Snow Mountain courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort for the two senior boys' events, and TPC Las Vegas (9851 Canyon Run Drive) for the AJGA Open Championship. The senior showcase has been played in the Las Vegas area under the Amundi evian name every year since 2021.

Course setup: Each event is on its own course: the senior girls at Las Vegas Golf Club, the senior boys on the Sun Mountain and Snow Mountain courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, and the Open at TPC Las Vegas. Check each AJGA event page for its course setup before the week.

Format

Each of the four events is 36 holes of stroke play with a field of 78. The three senior events are for high school seniors who have not committed to college; the AJGA Open Championship, played alongside since 2025, is for boys and girls 12-19. The AJGA's information pages for the senior girls' event, a senior boys' event and the Open each state that there is no cut.

Coach verdict

By design, the senior fields are made up only of uncommitted seniors, which is exactly the pool a program still filling a class is looking at.

Best for: High school seniors who have not committed to a college program, for the three senior events. Players ages 12-19 can apply to the AJGA Open Championship the same week.

College scouting: The AJGA doesn't publish how many college coaches attend.

Competitive insight

The field is defined by timing rather than ranking. These are seniors still looking for a college home, so the useful question for a family is whether the player needs one more strong 36-hole result on the record before signing decisions, not whether the player can win. Two rounds is a short sample, so a steady start matters.

Scoring context: 2025 winning totals from the AJGA: Madison Perez 66-68 for 134 (-10), the senior girls' 36-hole record; Jack Cook 140 (-4) and Aiden Tiet 141 (-3) in the senior boys' divisions.

Application tip

The 2026 deadlines are October 20 at 3 p.m. ET to apply through the AJGA and October 25 to pay and confirm a place. AJGA playing membership and accepted proof of age must be in place before any application, so do those first. For the Open, a higher Performance Based Entry status improves the odds of acceptance.

Is it worth the travel?

situational valueThe $295 fee is modest; the cost is a December trip to Las Vegas. For an uncommitted senior who still needs a result in front of programs, this is the event built for that moment. For a player already committed, the senior events are not an option.
