Terms of Use

By using tessaira.com (the “Service”), operated by Tessaira Golf (“we,” “us”), the service previously published as GolfNexus, or by creating an account or signing in, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy, which sets out exactly what information we collect and how we use it. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Tessaira publishes editorial information about competitive golf, including event profiles, rankings context, and college golf programs, with links to official organizers where relevant. It also offers a free assessment, a free drill library, and a free guide library for junior golfers and their families.

Tessaira is not a tournament organizer, registrar, or sanctioning body. We do not run events, process entries, or collect entry fees. The only thing we sell is an optional Premium subscription (see Section 18); the directory, the assessment, the drill library, and the guide library are free. We are also not a recruiting service, a placement agency, or a college-admissions or eligibility advisor. Registering for a tournament always happens on the organizer's own site.

Tessaira is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any tour, golf association, or governing body (including the USGA, the AJGA, the NCAA, the NAIA, or the NJCAA), any tournament organizer, or any school whose publicly available information we index. All tour, association, event, and school names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify that organization's publicly available information. A listing or reference on Tessaira does not imply any relationship, and none should be inferred.

We work to keep the directory fresh, but we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing. We are not responsible for costs or losses that result from relying on directory information, including missed deadlines, travel to a rescheduled or cancelled event, or fee changes.

Tessaira offers a free assessment, the “honest read” (including the “My Player” tracker), that takes a few inputs about a junior golfer and produces an estimate: a suggested competitive level, a possible college-division range, general recruiting odds, and suggested next steps.

It is an estimate based on unverified information. The read is generated by a formula from the details you enter. We do not verify those details, we do not see the player swing or compete, and real recruiting depends on many things the read cannot measure. The estimate can be wrong, and results vary widely between players with similar inputs.

It is not a guarantee of any outcome. The assessment does not guarantee, predict, or promise any recruiting result, roster spot, scholarship, financial aid, admission, athletic result, or contact from any coach or program. College names, divisions, and odds shown are illustrative context, not commitments by Tessaira or by any school, coach, tour, or association.

It is not professional advice. The read is not recruiting, coaching, financial, admissions, or educational advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed or professional advisor. Tessaira is not a recruiting service, a placement agency, or an NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA compliance advisor, and we are not affiliated with any of them.

No reliance. You are responsible for the decisions you make. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tessaira is not liable for any decision made, money or time spent, or opportunity gained or lost based on the assessment. Before making decisions that cost money or time (coaching, travel, tournament schedules, equipment, recruiting services, or college choices), get independent, qualified advice and verify eligibility and recruiting rules with the relevant governing body and school.

The assessment is produced by an automated formula, not by a human evaluator, recruiter, coach, or advisor (see Section 4). Written content across the Service may also be generated or assisted by automated tools. Like any automated system, these can produce results that are inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.

Verify before you rely on it. You are responsible for independently confirming any information that matters to a decision, including tournament dates and registration details, coach and program contact information, scholarship or financial-aid figures, and NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA eligibility and recruiting rules, with the official organizer, school, or governing body. Automated or AI-generated content is not recruiting, financial, admissions, eligibility, or coaching advice, and does not guarantee, predict, or promise any recruiting result, roster spot, scholarship, financial aid, admission, or contact from any coach or program.

Anyone can browse the directory, but some features require a free account: viewing full coaching staffs (names, titles, and recruiting designations), saving schools to a shortlist, saving drills to your saved list, and logging rounds and practice sessions in the “My Player” tracker. Every drill in the library is free, in full, with no Premium requirement; only your saved list is tied to an account. Logging to the tracker is free as well, and what you log is stored on our servers against your account and can be deleted by you at any time — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored. Coach contact details require Premium, whose terms are in Section 18. When you create an account, sign in, or otherwise use the Service, you accept these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 to create an account or sign up for a newsletter, roadmap, or quiz result. If the account, the assessment, or any information you provide concerns a junior golfer under 18, you must be that minor's parent or legal guardian (or otherwise authorized), and you agree to these Terms on the minor's behalf. Accounts and email signups are not intended for, and may not be created by, children under 13. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without notice, and we may decline to offer the Service to anyone at our discretion.

You agree not to:

• Scrape or bulk-collect directory data. No automated scraping, crawling, harvesting, or systematic enumeration of tournament listings, coach contact details, or any other directory content, whether by script, bot, or manual bulk collection. The Service enforces rate limits; attempting to evade them (rotating IPs, creating multiple accounts, or similar) is a violation of these terms.
• Misuse coach contact information. Coach contact details are provided for genuine recruiting correspondence between players (or their families) and college programs. Using them for marketing, mass email, resale, list-building, or any purpose other than individual recruiting correspondence is prohibited.
• Probe, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with Tessaira or any organization listed in the directory.
• Use the Service for anything unlawful.

The directory links out to tournament organizers, tours, associations, and schools. Those sites are run by third parties we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, policies, registration processes, or how they handle your data. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave Tessaira.

Demonstration videos. Some drills include a demonstration video hosted on YouTube. Those videos are third-party content: made by other people, hosted by YouTube, embedded here and credited to the channel that made them. We do not host them, we do not own them, and we make no claim to them. We are not affiliated with those channels, and their appearance here does not mean they endorse Tessaira. We cannot promise any video stays available, and a video can be changed or taken down by its owner at any time.

When you click to load a video, you are loading YouTube's player, and Google's terms and privacy policy apply to that playback rather than ours. Our Privacy Policy describes exactly what reaches Google, and when.

The Service, including its design, text, organization, and the selection and arrangement of the directory, is owned by Tessaira and protected by applicable intellectual-property law. We claim no ownership over the underlying facts (tournament dates, school names, and so on), over third-party trademarks such as tour and association names, which belong to their owners, or over the embedded demonstration videos described in Section 8. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes consistent with these terms.

The recruiting directory compiles information about college golf programs and coaches, including names, roles, and institutional contact details, from publicly available sources such as official athletics-department staff directories. A listing is provided for informational and legitimate recruiting-correspondence purposes only. A listing does not mean the coach, program, school, tour, or association endorses, sponsors, is affiliated with, or has any relationship with Tessaira, and none should be implied. Contact information may be outdated or incorrect; verify with the school before relying on it. If you are a coach or represent an institution and a listing is inaccurate or you want it removed, email angelo@tessaira.com from an institutional address and we will correct or remove it.

The Service, including the directory, the assessment and “honest read,” “My Player,” and all content and estimates, is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that directory information is accurate or current (see Section 3), or that any assessment estimate is accurate, complete, or predictive of any outcome (see Section 4).

Assumption of risk. You use the Service, and make all recruiting, tournament, travel, financial, and college decisions, at your own risk, based on your own judgment and independent verification. Tessaira does not control tournament organizers, schools, coaches, or governing bodies, and is not responsible for their decisions, actions, requirements, or outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tessaira and its owners, operators, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, missed tournament entries or deadlines, travel costs, recruiting or scholarship outcomes, or reliance on any directory listing or assessment estimate, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you; in those cases our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law. These limits are a fundamental basis of the bargain and apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tessaira and its owners, operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right; (c) your misuse of coach or institution contact information; or (d) information you submit about a minor, including your confirmation that you are authorized to provide it. We may assume the exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.

Except for (a) small-claims-court matters and (b) requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or the integrity of the Service, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Florida (or by video or phone at the claimant's option), rather than in court. You and Tessaira each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration will proceed only on an individual basis; the arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these terms by emailing angelo@tessaira.com with your account email and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these terms.

If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable, the rest of this section does not apply and disputes proceed in the courts identified in the governing-law section.

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on Tessaira infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at angelo@tessaira.com with: (1) your signature (physical or electronic); (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the material claimed to infringe and its location on the Service; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. We will respond as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, including removing infringing material and, where appropriate, terminating repeat infringers.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, including deleting your account, if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, or misuse directory data. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 3, 4, 5, and 9 through 22 survive termination.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, any dispute that proceeds in court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Most of Tessaira is free, including the directory, the assessment, the drill library, and the guide library. Premium is an optional monthly subscription of $9.99 (U.S. dollars) per month. It unlocks verified coach email addresses and School Insights in the recruiting directory, along with the other Premium features listed on the Premium page, which is the current list of what a subscription includes. The subscription is billed monthly through our payment processor, Polar, and renews automatically each month until you cancel it.

Premium is digital access to information described on the Service. Access is granted to your account immediately after your first payment is confirmed and continues for as long as the subscription is active. We do not see or store your full card details; payment is handled directly by Polar. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Premium unlocks the contact details present in the directory and does not promise any specific coach, program, or piece of contact information. See our Privacy Policy for how Polar handles your information.

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Cancelling stops all future charges; your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for and then ends. We do not issue refunds or credits for partial months, including months in which you did not use the Service, except where a refund is required by law.

If you believe you were billed in error, email angelo@tessaira.com from the email address on the account and we will investigate. Confirmed billing errors are refunded through the payment processor to your original payment method.

The recruiting directory is compiled from public sources and is provided for informational and legitimate recruiting-correspondence purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or current status of any listing, and coach contact details can be outdated or incorrect. Buying Premium does not create any relationship between you and any coach, program, school, tour, or association, and none should be implied. You are responsible for how you use the contact information, consistent with the acceptable-use terms in Section 7.

The coach and program information in the directory, including names, roles, and institutional contact details, is compiled from publicly available sources such as official athletics-department staff directories. It is aggregated information about public programs and roles, not private personal data, and it may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Verify any detail with the school before you rely on it. Coaches and institutions can request a correction or removal as described in Section 10.

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may change the monthly price of Premium, at any time. A price change applies to new subscriptions from the date it takes effect; an active subscription keeps its existing monthly price until it is cancelled. You are never charged a new price without the opportunity to cancel first. If we discontinue Premium entirely, billing stops and your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
