The story
The Dustin Johnson World Junior Golf Championship was established in 2016 and is played at TPC Myrtle Beach in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. It is put on by Dustin Johnson with the Dustin Johnson Golf School, Founders Golf International, TPC Myrtle Beach and Golf Tourism Solutions, and the organizer describes it as a pro-style experience for junior golfers. The 2026 edition, played March 6-8, was the 11th. The field is 90 boys and girls from around the world, ages 13-18 as of the first round, chosen by application. Under the most recent criteria the organizer has published, a block headed 2025 Eligibility Criteria, the top five boys and top three girls from the previous year's event earned automatic spots, at-large places were awarded on TUGR and Rolex AJGA rankings, and eight sponsor invitations were reserved and not available by request.
