Hudson accepts 144 players from an applicant pool of 800 or more, and invitations go out in stages through the spring. Most tournament families base in Streetsboro or Stow, about 10 to 15 minutes from the club along I-480 and OH-8. That corridor has the area's real concentration of chain hotels and is the practical default for a Monday-through-Thursday stay.

Late June also overlaps with graduation parties and weddings around Akron, so the closer clusters can sell out. The Akron-Fairlawn and Montrose area, about 25 minutes out, carries more hotel supply and a wider range of price points if you book late or want a backup.
