For the 14-and-over divisions a first-round score over 90 does not advance, and a cut after 36 holes sets the final round on the Blue Monster: 32 players in boys 16-18, 24 in girls 16-18, 24 in boys 14-15 and 16 in girls 14-15.

The story
The First Tee - Miami Doral Junior Classic, formerly the Doral Publix Junior Golf Classic, has been played in Doral, Florida since 1981. The organizer says it has hosted thousands of junior golfers from across the globe, historically over 600 of them from more than 45 countries, and that the 14-and-over divisions have historically drawn over 100 college coaches annually. The 2026 edition, December 20-23 at Trump National Doral Miami, is different. The resort is being renovated ahead of the PGA Tour's Cadillac Championship in March 2027, so the field is limited and the Tournament Committee reviews every entry before acceptance. Every division plays the Red Tiger Course on December 21 and 22. The 13-and-under divisions finish there, and the 14-and-over players who make the 36-hole cut play the final round on the Blue Monster on December 23. The organizer describes the event's traditions as the Adamonis Cup, a one-day match play tournament between top players from Florida and top players from the Northeast, and trophy ceremonies after the final rounds, with the 16-18 winners' names added to the trophy. The 2026 schedule page does not list the Adamonis Cup. The tournament benefits First Tee - Miami, part of the Dade Amateur Golf Association, a not-for-profit that dates to 1968.
