When can a recruiting conversation happen at a college golf camp?

Does attending a camp give a coach permission to recruit a younger player?

Do NCAA rules show whether a camp is worth the money?

For Division I golf, general electronic recruiting correspondence may begin June 15 at the conclusion of sophomore year.
Recruiting conversations at an institution's camp or clinic may not occur before August 1 at the beginning of junior year.
Camp instruction or observation is not itself permission for an early recruiting conversation, offer of aid, or inducement.
Before paying, ask who is actually coaching, which division's rules apply, what the total family cost is, and whether the school is already a plausible fit.

The decision is whether this camp fits your family

NCAA rules can tell a family what conduct is allowed. They do not tell a family whether a camp will produce recruiting interest or justify its price.

So this page does two separate things. It states the Division I golf dates that govern what may happen at a camp, and it lists the questions a family can answer for itself before paying.

Which staff are named, and are they confirmed to be there?
What is the published agenda for the days you are paying for?
What is the price, and what does it include?
What will travel, lodging and meals add to that price?
What are the refund and cancellation terms, in writing?
Which claims on the page are written by the operator selling the camp?

A careful reason to consider one

The school is a plausible academic and golf fit.
The relevant staff are named.
The instruction is useful to your golfer even if no recruiting outcome follows.
The total cost is acceptable to the family.
The family understands which dates apply to the division running it.

How to decide before you pay

Would the family still value the instruction if no recruiting conversation occurs?
Is this school already a plausible fit?
Is the full cost acceptable after registration, travel, lodging, meals, and time away from school?
