The short version
- Use the published age date and residency conditions.
- Minny and Prep participation can overlap within their eligibility.
- The Junior Tour play-up requires a recommendation and changes access.
Compare the formats before the labels
The organizer describes Minny as an introductory par-three experience and Prep as a more experienced route across its stated shorter-course formats. Junior Tour uses eighteen-hole stroke play. The published age date is August 15 in the year of play, with additional eligibility conditions.
A raw score from a short course cannot establish readiness for an eighteen-hole setup without its distance and demands.
Read the consequence of the play-up
The current pathway says an under 13 player needs the appropriate membership payment and a recommendation letter or email to play Junior Tour. It also says the player then becomes ineligible for Minny and Prep.
The fictional Ben should therefore compare the full remaining calendar before requesting the change. Ava’s decision to stay can preserve useful starts while she gains experience.
Keep invitation status separate
Players Tour is invitation-only under the organizer’s stated criteria. Do not treat a Junior Tour entry or one low score as confirmed Players Tour status. Recheck the actual season rather than extending current rules indefinitely.
Use the schedule planner and first-event checklist to turn the decision into a manageable plan.
