GCSEs, A Levels and NCAA Golf: Prepare the Records

A school transcript, an exam-board result and acceptable graduation evidence answer different NCAA document questions. Prepare all three rows without treating predicted grades or a few exam passes as full certification.

Check the division before using the academic rules

The course-approval and NCAA academic-certification discussion here applies to Divisions I and II. Division III schools set their own academic standards. For international Division III athletics certification, the Eligibility Center may separately request academic records to establish secondary-school graduation. Read the NCAA division-specific requirements and follow the tasks actually assigned for your case.

The short version

  • Use the England and Wales profile for that educational system, not Scotland's separate mapping.
  • The profile lists several graduation-evidence tiers; their exam counts are not full eligibility rules.
  • Record the examination board, subject, session and actual result status.

TURN 1

School record

School, year-nine start, course years and official transcript source.

A recruiting email is not the academic record.

TURN 2

Examination result

Board, qualification, subject, session/year and actual attainment or pending status.

A predicted result is not automatically proof that a graduation credential has been earned.

TURN 3

Graduation evidence

The exact listed qualification combination and its issuing examination board.

Meeting a listed graduation-evidence example is not full NCAA academic or athletics certification.

TURN 4

Unresolved item

Missing result, short-course qualification or unclear subject/award entry.

Do not mark it accepted by guessing from the familiar qualification name.

Original preparation aid, not the NCAA's official UK checklist. No student's grades, examination results, records or submission were accessed or certified.

Read the correct country profile

The September 2026 United Kingdom profile covers England and Wales. It maps year nine to Form Three, Key Stage Three or Year Nine. Scotland has a separate profile and qualification system, so its school-year mapping should not be copied into this worksheet.

The NCAA's international instructions follow the educational system studied rather than simply the school's address. Keep that system, the school dates and the actual examination history together when asking the school or compliance office which records to prepare.

Separate graduation evidence from full certification

The profile lists five or more GCSE or IGCSE passes in separate subjects as Tier One graduation proof with an eleven-year timeline. It lists two or more AS-level passes in separate subjects as a twelve-year Tier Two route, and two or more A-level passes as a thirteen-year Tier Three route. Other credentials and combinations are also listed.

These examples describe acceptable graduation evidence within the profile, not a promise that those exam counts alone satisfy every NCAA requirement. Short-course GCSE examinations are excluded as graduation proof. Read the exact qualification and subject treatment rather than deciding from a shortened label.

Keep attainment, predicted results and issuing bodies clear

The profile distinguishes attainment, current and predicted grade treatment and includes a double-award provision. Neither establishes that a predicted result automatically proves graduation. Record the actual result status and ask about an unresolved subject or award rather than filling an expected pass into the earned column.

Examination boards are the issuing bodies for the listed exam records. Follow the authorised submission route alongside the school records. The separate official UK checklist was not relied on here because its body could not be retrieved; this original worksheet is a preparation tool, not a reproduction of that form or an individual certification decision.
