The field at close
The published 2026 allocation selects the lowest 60Amateur and 24Mid-Amateur handicaps, with others waitlisted.
Unused places may transfer between divisions. Do not predict an accepted cutoff Index from the nominal allocation.
The Mid-Amateur age check
For 2026, the published Mid-Amateur condition is age 25 by July 24.
Use that exact dated requirement for the historical example, not another event's birthday rule or a 2027 assumption.

Start with this event's eligibility
The read 2026 page required female amateurs with a certified World Handicap System handicap through a TGA member club and Texas residency. It placed the Mid-Amateur birthday condition at July 24, 2026. The linked women's policy supplies a general baseline, subject to the event's more specific conditions.
These are the organiser's sporting entry requirements, not a legal residency decision by this guide. The completed July 24–26 event and its July 8 entry close are historical. Use the next edition's actual packet when published rather than carrying the conditions forward automatically.
Keep the selection rule attached to the event
The page says entries begin pending. Exempt players are confirmed shortly after entry, while other entries remain pending until close and are then selected by the stated low-handicap allocations. The general women's first-in language does not override that specific selection procedure.
The allocation paragraph uses Amateur where the format paragraph says Championship; this guide does not create a third division from that wording. The 54-hole event has Championship and Mid-Amateur divisions. A nominal allocation and a maximum field description are not a guaranteed acceptance Index.
Read the actual decision before making the trip
Track eligibility information, exemption, pending entry, confirmation and waitlist separately. A receipt or published fee is not itself an acceptance notice. The 2026 entry fee was 350 dollars; that is not a quote or invitation for a future season.
If places transfer between divisions, the actual field can differ from the starting allocation. Retain the event's decision and its instructions rather than assuming that another entrant's status applies to you.
