Women's Texas Pinehurst: Partners, Entry and Chapman Scoring
The 2026 Women's Texas Pinehurst is scheduled for November 2–3, but its October 21 entry deadline has passed. For an accepted pair, the useful next checks are the partner rules, actual handicap instructions and Chapman sequence.

Follow one fictional Chapman hole
Original teaching comparison
Follow one fictional Chapman hole- First strokes
- Ava drives ballA; Bea drives ballB.
The team has two branches. Do not add the two tee shots together as the team's running hole score.
Case 1 - Second strokes
- Ava plays ballB and Bea plays ballA.
Each player has played the partner's ball for its second stroke.
Case 2 - Choose the branch
- The pair selects ballB after Ava's second stroke with it.
Bea plays that ball's third stroke, then Ava its fourth. They alternate on the selected branch.
Case 3 - Fictional finish
- Ava holes the fourth stroke in this example, with no penalties assumed.
The team score is 4 for the selected branch, not the sum of every stroke made at both balls.
Case 4
Original fictional scoring example under the event's published Chapman description. It is not a played round, Rules ruling or handicap calculation.
The short version
- Both players drive, each plays the partner's ball, then the pair selects one ball and alternates.
- A partner change needs the event's actual approval and deadline conditions.
- This event prohibits caddies; do not import permission from another TGA competition.
Read the closed-entry status correctly
The event page schedules play for November 2–3,2026, but entry closed October 21. An upcoming playing date is not proof that a new entry can be made. The published field limit is 44 teams, with first-in entry and a waitlist if oversubscribed.
The listed team fee is 575 dollars for this edition. Female-amateur and certified-WHS conditions sit alongside the linked women's competition policy; they do not replace an accepted entry. No payment, registration or current field-inventory check was performed for these examples.
Use the event's partner and handicap instructions
The published partner-change deadline is October 29 at 5 pm, and the page specifies October 21 handicaps. Read the actual change procedure and obtain the event's decision; a request sent before a deadline is not automatically an approved substitution.
Flights use combined Index, and the page describes a reduction of the higher handicap when the partner gap is above eight strokes. Follow the organiser's actual handicap basis rather than inventing an Index-to-Playing-Handicap calculation here. The event prohibits caddies. Its minor practice-portal date conflict is not used to promise a practice-booking opening.
Keep the chosen ball and playing order together
After both drives and exchanged second strokes, identify which ball has been selected and which partner must play it next. The example chooses Bea's original drive after Ava has played its second stroke, so Bea makes the third stroke.
Agree the selection clearly before continuing. Count the strokes on the selected branch and any applicable penalties under the actual Rules; do not total both preliminary branches. The generic formats parent explains surrounding team formats, while the registration guide helps keep partner changes, confirmation and event instructions together.
