KSHSAA Rule 23 (2026-27 Handbook) lets a school declare a girls' team, a boys' team or a mixed team in a sport before its first competition. A school with a mixed team may not also have a separate boys' or girls' team in that sport, and a mixed team competes at the boys' level in the state series. The golf pages read do not add a golf-specific girls-on-boys-team rule.
