High school golf in Oklahoma

In Oklahoma, boys and girls golf are both spring sports. Regional notes below cover exceptions.

Organized practice may begin December 1, 2026 and the first spring contest date is March 1, 2027, with the girls state tournament on May 3 and 4 and the boys state tournament on May 10 and 11, 2027. Schools may also play an optional fall schedule from September 1 to October 31, 2026, limited to three of the nine allowed events.

Optional fall golf season (statewide)
Schools may also play an optional fall golf season from September 1 through October 31, 2026. Fall events count toward the nine-event yearlong limit, with a maximum of three of the nine in the fall, and fall results carry into the spring rankings used for regional seeding. Organized practice for the fall season may begin no earlier than September 1. The OSSAA's main golf season and its championships are in the spring.
