About NCAA Division I golf conferences

Division I is the top of the college golf pyramid. A conference title is worth chasing on its own, but it also feeds the Golfstat ranking the NCAA committee uses to seed Regionals and the national championship. The power leagues (SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12) send the most players to professional golf, while strong mid-majors punch above their seed every spring.

Recruiting into D1 is a long game. Coaches build interest lists years out, so knowing what college golf coaches look for matters as much as your scoring average. To see which programs sit in your state and how they split across conferences, browse college golf by state.
