Golf decisions
Disney World golf: choose the round before choosing the course
A Disney golf day starts with two decisions: how much golf fits around the rest of the trip, and which course is operating on that date. Three eighteen-hole courses and one nine-hole walking course create different plans. The notices below were read October 24, 2026; they are planning evidence rather than a confirmed tee time.

Four fictional itinerary decisions

Four fictional itinerary decisionsWhich facts apply?
CASE 01
Fictional: a short family round
A family wants nine holes and expects to rent a riding cart.
Oak Trail has junior tees but is walking only. Decide whether everyone can walk before selecting that format.
CASE 02
Fictional: an early-November round
A visitor plans to play Palm during the first week of November.
The current Palm notice lists a November 2 closure and November 20 reopening. Check the exact trip date with the course.
CASE 03
Fictional: a suggested alternative
A course notice recommends Lake Buena Vista, but its own page still reports renovation closure.
Treat that alternative as unresolved. A recommendation on another page is not evidence of reopening.
CASE 04
Fictional: an off-property hotel
A golfer staying near Disney assumes the golf taxi benefit applies.
The operator describes the benefit for Disney-owned-and-operated resort hotels; verify the particular hotel instead of budgeting it automatically.
Fictional plans using operator information observed October 24, 2026. No reservations or live availability checks were made.
The short version
- Choose walking-only Oak Trail for a nine-hole format; compare the championship courses for eighteen.
- Read each course’s own maintenance notice before accepting an alternative suggested elsewhere.
- Confirm hotel eligibility before budgeting complimentary golf transportation.
Match the round to the day
Oak Trail is a nine-hole, par-36 course with junior tees. Riding carts are prohibited; pull carts are listed at $9 plus tax per person per round, subject to availability. Its page allows reservations up to thirty days ahead. A short-format round still needs walking, check-in and transportation time.
Palm and Magnolia are eighteen-hole championship options. The operator describes Palm’s lakes, bunkers and sloping greens, while Magnolia is its longest championship layout and was reimagined in 2023. Lake Buena Vista is another eighteen-hole choice, described as a country-club-style course. These descriptions help select a format; they do not establish present conditions.
Build around maintenance, with a real fallback
Lake Buena Vista’s page says renovation began May 4, 2026 and was expected to last into fall, without a verified reopening date. Some other course notices recommend it during their own closures. Keep it off a confirmed itinerary until the operator resolves that difference for your date.
The notices observed also list Palm reopening November 20, Oak Trail reopening November 12 after a November 9 closure, and Magnolia reopening December 11 after a November 23 closure. Those notices omit the year even though their weekdays match the 2026 calendar. Reconfirm them and select a fallback that is independently available.
Finish the transport and equipment plan
The golf operator describes complimentary taxi transport, including gratuity, between qualifying Disney-owned-and-operated hotels and the golf courses. Hotel Guest Services arranges it. For other accommodation, add your own transportation allowance rather than assuming that proximity creates the same benefit.
Bell Services storage and storage between multiple golf days are described options. Ask how retrieval fits the departure time, and keep the exact course address with the booking. Before paying for a trip plan, confirm the course, operating status, round format, equipment arrangements and transportation eligibility together.
